Welcome to claymore tours

Tour Guide.
Hello, my name is Derek Myles, my family name has links with the powerful Clan Gordon from North East Scotland, however I was born and raised near Stirling, the gateway to the highlands. Since childhood I have always been fascinated by Scottish History, by our Kings and Queens and great heroes who forged the destiny of our small nation. I established Claymore Tours in 1996 and I have been using my extensive knowledge of Scotland to take visitors on a journey of discovery through my native land ever since.

Vehicles.
We operate a Chrysler Grand Voyager with 6 passenger seats, perfect for small groups who prefer that extra level of comfort. It has reclining seats, dual zone climate control and many other refinements.
Personalized Tours of Scotland.
We have an extensive list of recommended tours to choose from, however if you have something particular in mind we would be happy to build a custom tour of Scotland to your requirements.
Tour Scotland from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling.
We operate from a central base in Stirling to collect clients from Edinburgh, Glasgow or anywhere in central Scotland. Historic Stirling also makes a good central base for a vacation, so why not stay in Stirling and tour Scotland with Claymore.

Today has started dry but cloudy, however we are in for a nice weekend so the weather forecasters tell us.
This week has been interesting, I had a nice family from the Philippines on my St Andrews Tour, Dad being a golfer enjoyed seeing the Old Course and the boys loved the Fish and Chips in Anstruther.
I then had some interesting people from Houston in Texas, we visited Stirling Castle where they were very impressed with the restored Royal Palace and in particular the Hunting of the Unicorn tapestries, we also visited Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and her father King James the 5th.
On another day we visited the Border Abbeys of Melrose and Dryburgh and the Magnificent Floors Castle, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe, from the window you can see the site of the old Castle and the spot where King James the 2nd was killed by an exploding cannon during a siege in the 15th century.

Derek,
The trip with you to Skye was one of the most meaningful and enjoyable events of my life. I feel like the landscape, the people, and the incredible history that you so eloquently recited will be a part of me for the rest of my life. Hopefully we can get back to see you and more of Scotland soon.
Thanks, Joe
