When the mist is on the mountains
And the dark clouds roll down low
When the sun is not to be seen
And the wind begins to blow
When the bracken bends with moisture
And the heather drips with dew
When the black face sheep crouch in the glen
And their cud quietly chew
Then Derek tells a story
Of adventures long ago
A tale of heroes, Dukes and Kings
Of battles and of woe
He tells of castles bravely held
With armies at the door
We listen with attention rapt
And eager ask for more
Our trip we would only half enjoy
Without our hearty guide
Returning home our hearts will stay
In Scotland with all pride

We all had a fantastic time and wanted to thank you again for being a great guide. You really brought the Highlands to life for us with your knowledge of history and the passion you have for the area and its people.
